Shekinah was a simple girl who loved the Lord, loved us, loved the church and enjoyed life. She loved the company of people and put others at ease. She would always dress modestly and maintain a pleasant countenance. As a little child, she was active and made us all laugh by her innocent pranks. As soon as she became, a teenager the transformation to a mature girl was quite evident. She was eager to help her mom in kitchen. She loved to work with her hands and would take initiative in cleaning our courtyard. There are times when she would prepare a meal for her younger sisters and they loved Chechi’s Dosai, Noodles, Egg Scramble etc. She was active in church and in Sunday school, as well. She also made use of her talents in music for the glory of God. She played the piano in the church meeting for more than 6 months prior to our leaving to Vellore for treatment. She knew the verses in Matthew 5,6,7 chapters by heart and surprised everyone and honored God’s name by reciting Chapter 5 and 6 on two Sundays.
